Google Voice Recorder is Now Able to Tell the Other Person from the Other Side

Google’s Recorder app has become one of the best recording apps for Android, offering real-time transcription of conversations. Recently, Google has taken the app to the next level by introducing a feature that can distinguish between speakers.

Google’s Recorder app is a powerful tool for taking quick notes. The app can record conversations and transcribe them in real time, making it perfect for interviews, meetings, and more. During the Google Pixel 7 launch event in October, the company teased the addition of speaker labels to the app. Now, two months later, the feature is finally rolling out.

The first time you open the app after updating to v4.2, a prompt appears to enable the “Detect and label speakers” functionality. If you select Continue, Google will explain how the feature works. The app uses models of the voices detected in the recording to give each voice a generic “Speaker1” and “Speaker2” label in real-time. The Recorder app will automatically connect to a new line in the transcription when a new speaker is detected.

The feature is incredibly useful for transcribing conversations and interviews. It allows you to keep track of who said what and makes it easier to review the transcript afterwards. The speaker labels can also help you if you need to go back and review a particular part of the conversation.

The introduction of the speaker labels feature makes it even more useful, allowing users to quickly and easily distinguish between different speakers. This feature is sure to be a hit with anyone who needs to record and transcribe conversations on their Android device.
