First Monthly Security Update of 2023 Rolls Out to Galaxy S22 in the US

Samsung has just released the first security patch of the year for its flagship Galaxy S22 series. The update brings the January 2023 security patch and is now available to US-bound Galaxy S22 devices, beating Google's Pixel lineup in this regard. This latest rollout makes it the world's first Android smartphone with a monthly security update for 2023.  According to SamMobile, this new monthly security update bearing firmware BVL4 is available for unlocked Galaxy S22 units in the US as well as Verizon-locked variants. Those using AT&T or other carriers should expect their updates soon enough. As per Samsung's announcement, this fresh set of patches covers several high-level vulnerabilities alongside an additional twenty previously unaddressed flaws.  Getting your hands on this update is simple - just head over to your device settings, hit software updates, and download away! However, apart from these stability improvements, there are no noticeable changes in terms of usability or any design modifications promised by the company at the present time – those may have been reserved exclusively for One UI 5.1, which will debut alongside next month's highly anticipated launch of the top-end Galaxy S23 range come February 2021.  It's no easy feat keeping up with such a quickly changing mobile ecosystem but thanks to Samsung’s dedication, we can rest assured knowing that our devices are getting quality support when needed most - something we should all applaud given how much time and energy goes into properly updating these systems each month! So if you have a Samsung device, keep an eye out for that next big update coming soon – you won’t want to miss out!
