Solo Mode Added to Apex Legends Mobile
The developer added a solo-player mode to the mobile version of Apex Legends on October 4th. This is a free mode that was originally part of the original game. The explanation of the principle is simple: the new option implies that the player enters the game alone and fights with other solo players.
For the history of Apex Legends, the solo challenge has a special meaning. The mode has a long history, which explains why some players did not like this part of the update. The developer added a single-player mode in the second season in honor of the Iron Crown Collection Event. At the time, Respawn Entertainment claimed it was a limited-time playlist. Over time, the company decided to remove this option since, according to the developers, the solo mode had a negative impact on the gameplay, especially in the new player retention.
In the latest update, Apex Legends Mobile users could see this option. It was called 'No Fill Matchmaking.' As the name implies, players can now only fight 1v1, and 1v2 or 1v3 options are not available because now players cannot get teammates in Duos and Trios modes.
Users have been asking for this mode for a long time, and the new Aftershow update says they have been heard. For fans, this is an opportunity to get a more classic Apex Legends experience. On the other hand, the mobile version is not 100% similar to Apex Legends for console and PC. Even the development of this product was not Respawn Entertainment. The mobile game was essentially created by Lightspeed & Quantum Studios (led by Respawn).
If for those who use the mobile version of the solo mode was good news, then the players of the console and PC versions do not want such updates. However, the developer has not yet mentioned that the solo mode will be added elsewhere.
