Splitgate 2 Will be Playable at Gamescom

1047 Games has officially introduced Splitgate 2, and even though a cinematic introduction is all we've seen of this game so far, this entity assures that more is on the horizon, including their confirmed participation in the upcoming Gamescom event scheduled in Cologne, Germany from August 21 to 25. The marketing head of 1047 Games, Hilary Goldstein, stated on Xbox Wire that Splitgate 2 fans can actually get their hands on the game at Gamescom. Whether a gameplay trailer will be released around the same timeframe (or perhaps earlier) is still under wraps, but it's likely that it's in the pipeline. Goldstein penned in Xbox Wire, “Splitgate 2 will be available for fans to test out at Gamescom 2024 so everyone can see what we've been up to. The team has worked hard to create an experience that is challenging and approachable, with plenty of meaningful choices to make before even stepping into the arena. And, of course, it has to visually impress.” Providing a delectable hint about the game, Goldstein asserted that while Splitgate 2's trailer doesn't showcase actual gameplay, it accurately depicts a large portion of what players can expect in the game—from the maps to the weapons and beyond. Goldstein iterated, "These aren’t made-up maps. These are true Splitgate 2 weapons. That, indeed, is a trail that follows you out of a portal.” The much-anticipated Splitgate 2 is set to make its grand appearance on platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the scheduled release year being 2025.
