The Outlast Trials is Adding a New Map, Mode and Difficulty Options on July 16th

The upcoming update, Project Lupara, for Red Barrels' The Outlast Trials will introduce a variety of new features. Among the additions is the new primary target, Franco “Il Bambino” Barbi, who will chase after players, shotgun in hand. A new map, The Docks, presents fresh challenges as players strategize to evade Barbi and survive.

Newly introduced trials and MK-Challenges are set just beyond the area known as Poison the Medicine on The Docks. One such challenge, Fuel the Release, asks players to transport fuel for the court, while another, Teach the Police Officer, requires players to substitute film reels. Most intriguingly, Mansion Escape leads players back to the Farewell Mansion, with increased difficulty levels and a new ending to unlock.

Project Lupara also brings in a new mode termed Escalation Therapy, where players engage in a series of random trials with modifiers. Successful survivors unlock new upgrades, but a single death resets progress. Players can also make use of the new ability, The Barricage, to obstruct enemies' paths. Four new options have been introduced for those struggling with the difficulty levels: Introductory, Standard, Intense, and Psychosurgery.

Eager fans should stay connected for further details before Project Lupara is released on the 16th of July. The Outlast Trials can be enjoyed on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
