YouTube Adds Guest Feature to Live Streams

Back in the spring, YouTube launched a new feature called “Go Live Together” for select users. Now it is expanding its availability to more streamers and giving them the opportunity to invite guests to their broadcasts. Now, you can arrange live streams and invite experts and influencers to them. It opens up new opportunities for creators to engage their target audience. With this feature, you can conduct interviews, discuss exciting topics together, and share expert opinions on key issues live. It also simplifies the organization of Q&A sessions and allows you to cut down on preparation time. Inviting a guest into your live streams is easy. When you start streaming online, in the settings, you need to select the option “Invite a co-streamer.” It can be done in two ways: send the link to the right user directly or copy it and send it to the recipient in a message or email. Once your guest clicks on the link, they will automatically be taken to a waiting room from which you can add them to your stream. Remember that only a person who has their own channel can be a guest. Stream hosts can pre-check their guests’ video and audio quality, as well as hide information about them from other users. It will also be possible to add ads to streams, which will be linked to the profile of a broadcast owner. YouTube currently only allows one co-streamer to be invited per stream. In comparison, Instagram allows three members, and TikTok allows five. We hope this video platform will expand the capacity of its tool to keep up with the competition. This feature is available to all streamers with 50 or more viewers. If this update has already reached your region and you have tried it, please share your thoughts in the comments! What number of guest slots would be optimal for you?
